he villa was nice and spacious. It was great to have 6 bedrooms and 6 baths, with 4 of them being en suite. The yard and pool were very nice. Having 2 kitchens was also great and convenient for guests on the different floors. It was a short drive to restaurants and into town. Overall, we had a pleasant stay here and would recommend it.

We rented the house with 13 people. Kids and adults. We never had a dull moment. Every room has there own bathroom. There are two kitchens and there are balconies in different angles. The swimming pool and BBQ were the best moments in the house. Stella gave her personal touch to the house in every detail. It felt like my own home. The supermarket is 6 min away. I recommend the local instead of Lidl. The local is more organized and they have fresh fish and meat. Fish goes fast so best to buy it in the morning. You must visit monterno. The have the best pastry’s, fruit juices, ice cream, local treats and waffles. Stella is a great host. She welcomed us in person with pastry’s and she already put some drinks in fridge. She explained everything about the house, she send us a guide with places to see, restaurants to eat and the best beaches. I wish I could have tried all. 7 days weren’t enough. Stella was always available to communicate with when I needed something and she came to say goodbye with gifts!
Rent a car some beaches are a 1,5 hour or more drive but worthwhile.

We came here for a business trip and were very sad we couldn’t spend more time in the beautiful house. Jennie helped us a lot with everything, especially finding a car last minute when our flight was cancelled and we had to land on the other end of the island. Thanks for everything!

Spacious accommodation to host multiple families. Private, clean and near downtown. Both indoor and outdoors space was amazing.

Amazing villa in the perfect location. Exceeded our expectations. We were a family of 11 with a baby and 3 yr old and it had everything we needed. Car is required . Close to everything. Local tavernas were excellent and very welcoming. We also ventured further afield and enjoyed some lovely Greek food with amazing views . Kyano in Chania, Lilly snack bar,5 ssence, Corinna to name a few of the restaurants.
Water Park 10 minutes away. We had several BBQs and enjoyed the relaxing ambiance of the villa.
Some of the equipment in the villa probably could do with being replaced but it was adequate for our needs. For example,the pool liner needs replacing but it is still functional and we enjoyed our time in it!
The cleaners and pool cleaners visited once during our stay which we worked around. They kept the villa immaculate and provided clean pool towels mid week.
We will definitely be back ! Thank you for a relaxing holiday!

I can’t recommend this villa enough! From check-in to check-out, everything was absolutely perfect. The place was spotless — you can tell the hosts really care about keeping it tidy and comfortable. The photos honestly don’t do it justice — it’s even more beautiful in person, with every detail thoughtfully done. It’s the kind of place that makes you instantly relax the moment you arrive. If you’re coming to Crete, this villa is definitely somewhere you have to stay!

I stayed here with 12 other close friends. The villa itself is stunning. When we arrived it was absolutely spotless and had such beautiful little touches including welcome snacks. There’s everything you could need here including a BBQ, great kitchen with dishwasher and even a washing machine! They even provide all of your pool and bath towels, and also lovely little shampoos, conditioners and body lotions.
Stella our hostess went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. We could message her at any time of the day to ask for a taxi, suggestions of beaches or restaurants. If we had any questions about the villa she was very quick to respond as well.
The pool area is beautiful, but it’s not very far in a taxi to get to the beach either (10/15 minutes). The beach club, Cabana Mare is great too. The parties there are supposed to be great but even when we went on a quieter day it was lovely and very reasonable.
All I would say is hire a car for your stay to make it easier to explore. Otherwise be prepared to pay for Taxis to get around, even to the supermarkets as they’re not particularly close. Apart from that, our stay was perfect and we can’t wait to go back to Villa Aelia!! Thank you Holiways!

Superbe villa avec une hôtesse Stella exceptionnelle

grate vila with all that is needed for family wacation! we staid 15 people for one week and each found his or her place in it. Stala was extra efficient in all that we needed. very recomanded.

We had a wonderful time at Villa Aelia. It offered plenty of room for our group of 9 (a mix of mostly middle-aged family and friends) and was tastefully furnished and well supplied with all necessities. An abundance of bathrooms, all in immaculate condition, and beds with comfortable mattresses. Terraces in the front with views of the snow-covered White Mountains, and in back overlooking the well-designed yard and pool area (the Aegean can also be glimpsed). Well located too, with short drives to the supermarket, the sea or the many great restaurants and shopping to be found in Old Town. The villa was so comfortable, however, that we often found ourselves content just to relax in the sun…probably missing some of the sights as a result! 🙂
We absolutely loved our contact for the villa, Stella. She was like a big friendly can of Red Bull, bursting with energy and personality. We felt we could reach her at any time and she would do her absolute best to help us with whatever we needed. Plus her excellent recommendations and island charm made her a great ambassador for both Chania and Crete.
If there is constructive criticism to be given, some of the bedrooms could be improved with cabinets or closets for hiding clothes and suitcases. Also, while the pool level kitchen had everything we needed, the main floor kitchen wasn’t truly functional (we didn’t need it, but others might). It should be noted that the house is located in a nice neighborhood but sometimes dogs barked at night and roosters crowed. It didn’t bother us much but those looking for perfect silence should be aware.
Overall, a beautiful house and a great experience. Highly recommended!

Helt fantastiskt boende! Vi var 12 personer som bodde i huset (8 vuxna och 4 barn) i 8 nätter. Vi spenderade mest tid ute både på dag- och kvällstid då både poolen och grillen användes flitigt. Bra kommunikationer in till Chania med en lokal buss som tog oss till stan på cirka 15-20 minuter.

The villa was amazing. It was really beautiful and with enough space. We had a really great vacation there. The outdoor area is large and with enough sunbeds en stairs and the pool is larger than expected.
Within 15 minutes you can be at the beach of Chania town. In 5 minutes there is a supermarket so everything is close by.
I would definitely recommend this villa!

This Villa was fantastic, it had everything you could possibly need or think of and so clean. The pool was amazing and so big for everyone to have fun. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back. Check in and out was hassle free.

Paesaggio mozzafiato dal giardino, dal bel barbecue all’aperto e dalla piscina.
Abbiamo soggiornato per 7 giorni con i nostri amici ed 1 neonata e ci siamo goduti ogni singolo giorno trascorso nella villa e all’aperto durante i nostri viaggi in alcuni dei luoghi di Creta.
Stella è stata un ottima host, molto gentile e sempre disponibile per soddisfare le nostre richieste.
Ci piacerebbe tornare!

What an amazing home!!! It was a perfect home for our family to getaway and explore Chania and surrounding areas. It was a beautiful clean home with an amazing pool. The hosts were amazing, friendly and quick to communicate. If you stay in the home I suggest making sure that you have rented a car in order to get around the area. We definitely will be back.

Ein sehr schönes Haus. Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern war super, man hat immer sofort eine Antwort bekommen. Die Gegend ist ruhig, um etwas zu unternehmen oder einzukaufen braucht man ein Auto.

Our group of eight had an incredible stay! The villa is spacious, the pool is fantastic, and we made great use of both kitchens and the barbecue area. It’s just a 15–20 minute drive to the old town and about 10 minutes to the nearest beach club. The team was friendly, helpful, and always on top of things. Highly recommend this villa!
